The Club will be supporting the East Lothian Festival of Sport week in the first week of September with a cafe run on Sunday 9th September. Meet outside the clubrooms at the Old Town Hall in Musselburgh for a 9am departure. This will be a leisurely ride for anyone who wants to join in and will head for a cafe stop somewhere in East Lothian. Further details to follow nearer the time.
This race is held on the A7 25TT course starting just north of Galashiels and turning just south of Heriot. There’s been a 54 and 55 on this course earlier this year and it’s regularly used by Gala CC. Well worth a late season ride. Link to event details on Braveheart and British Cycling

The Harbour Ceremony takes place this year on Thursday 26th July - from 7pm.
According to the HTA website - 'The Harbour Ceremony will see the Lad, Lass and Attendants head out on to the Forth in a fishing Boat. The Official Party will come back into the Harbour where they will be greeted by prominent members of the remaining Fishing Community and the Clark Community Choir who will sing a compilation of well known fishing songs. The Official Party will then be asked to perform the eightsom reel followed by an ‘attempt’ to eat the shell fish which gave Musselburgh its name, the Mussel, once collected from the mouth of the river Esk.'
Members of Fisherrow Waterfront Group will be there to let people know a little more about what we are doing in the area. Come up for a chat and find out how you can become a member.

would like to join us. We're going to be sowing. Come on down and lend a hand.
We are running a family event for ALL ages – completely non-competitive – on Saturday afternoon 21st July. We are running this as part of the Musselburgh Honest Toun Festival Week and the club will also be taking part in the parade along the High Street on the following Friday evening.
The aim for those taking part is to cover around 4 miles of the tracks at the back of the Musselburgh Race Course, beside the ‘lagoons’, whilst stopping at a number of ‘checkpoints’ to answer some simple question. Clues will be on the boards or visible for all to see.
The surface is generally gravelly/stoney so pretty much any bike other than a lightweight racing bike will be fine for this – if you can ride a bike you can take part in this.
We are not making a charge for this and we would ask that young children are accompanied by an adult and that helmets, whilst not compulsory are advisable – unfortunately we now need to specify that helmeys MUST be worn due to insurance reasons.
Location : near the Saison Restaurant / Stables Pavilion at the North end of the Racecourse. Access via Balcarres Street then follow the signs.
This short course is for 8 - 12 year olds Wed 25 - Fri 27 July 10am - 4pm - please bring lunch and water.
Venue: Sanderson's Wynd Primary School, Tranent
Cost: £45 (£36 LPP)
